I believe this officially marks the end of football season for me.  With Millikan and Poly losing their games, all Moore Leagues teams are out of the playoffs.  This means I get my Fridays back.  Now don't get me wrong, I love shooting football, but I also love getting out to shoot wildlife and spend some time with my fellow photographer friends.

No other way to say other than Mater Dei dominated this game from the get go.  Poly did attempt to keep it close, but failed.

Poly vs J Serra

The team I cover didn't make the playoffs this year, the first time since I've been covering them.  I wasn't sure I would be picked up to cover any playoff games, so when the text came I responded.  As all other leagues, we have three teams that made the playoffs, Poly / Millikan / Wilson.  I was asked to cover the Poly vs J Serra game, which was played at Long Beach Veteran's Memorial Stadium.

I love shooting at Vet's stadium as I love their lights there.

Lakewood Varsity vs Cabrillo

This marks the end of league play and possibly the end of football for me until next year.  The school I cover for our local paper (Lakewood) did not make the playoffs, which is the first time since I've been covering them.  At this point I wait and see if I'm asked to cover a playoff game, if not I will enjoy the added free time and hopefully hit the wetlands a bit more.
