Lakewood vs Poly - Last League Meet

League track is now over with Lakewood competing against Poly at Poly High. This may or may not be my last high school track meet to shoot as my son will be heading off to college, so unless I'm requested to shoot for one of our local high schools this could be it for me. Only time will tell.

Now to the shots. I'll start off with a shot of my son throwing the shot put, followed with some other throwers.

For this shot I layed on my stomach in the dirt about 15' from the last hurdle and took the shot just prior to the start of the race.

Lakewood vs Jordan Track

Track is starting to wind down with only one more meet left. This week finds Lakewood pitted against Jordan at home. Today I focused on the pole vaulters so I could get at least one nice shot of each of them in action and since Jordan did not have any vaulters I was able to take other shots between vaults.

I'll start with a varity of pole vaulting shots.

Dylan's Football Senior Portraits

A few months ago I took Dylan's (my nephew) senior portraits. I was wanting to take some football shots on his football field, but couldn't do this the day of the shoot, so after a few months we finally got together to take some shots this past Sunday. Here are my favorites from the shoot.

Dylan's brother, Draven, came along during this shoot. While Dylan played football for Torrance, Draven runs cross-country and track for Torrance. Well their mom (my sister) asked if I could take of shot of them racing, which I did. I had them run about 50 yds around the turn to capture this shot. Do I need to say who won??????????

AJ's Birthday Party

I attended a 2nd year birthday party of a very good friend's grandson this past Saturday and brought my camera along to take some shots. This first shot is the cake my wife made for the birthday boy. It's the him riding his skateboard.

Lakewood Track vs Wilson - Long Jumpers

Lakewood held their track meet against Wilson High at Wilson Yesterday. I focused my attention on the long jumpers, taking an occasional shot of a runner or high jumper, which was on the same end of the field as I was.
