Yep that's correct, I've been officially published.
Approx eight months ago I was contacted by Bellwether Media regarding a picture posted on my blog, which they were interested in. I was informed they publish children books and were in the process of writing a child's book on volleyball and they wanted to use a picture I took during a Long Beach Middle School championship game depicting a volleyball set.

Needless to say I was a bit excited and responded back. After going back and fourth a bit we worked out a deal in which they would use two of my pictures in their children's Volleyball book. You are able to view the first few pages of the book and my two action shots are on the last page (set / spike).
When asked how they found me they said they did a google search for "Sports Action Photography" finding my blog and were impressed with my action photography. Now that is what I love to hear and it really shows there are other people looking at my blog besides friends and family.
Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Just to let you know, I'm neither a friend nor family, I just love looking at your work; since you have taken pictures of my old school (Hughes Middle School) and my current one (Lakewood High School.) I wish you the best.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Jim! That is awesome and well-deserved. So excited for you!
