Going into this game I knew it was going to be a tough battle for Lakewood and would test them and their drive towards victory.
Bosco took an early lead while Lakewood fought hard for each and every point they put on the board, which I thought spoke hard and true as to what their capable of. With a new head coach and a lot of untested players, Lakewood continued to fight and move the ball. Even though when the final whistle blew and the scoreboard reading 35-31 Bosco, our boys showed that they have what it takes to hit the field hard.
Now as it was a tough game for Lakewood it was a tough game for me as well. There weren't many open field runs, which made it hard to capture the action that I strive for. In addition to that I had equipment problems. I knew in advance Lakewood would be wearing their black uniforms and planned on using my flash from either the second quarter or half-time on, but once I got it all set up I couldn't get my flash to fire and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. So I simply put my flash gear back in my pack and continued shooting without the flash.
Settings were manual (f/2.8, ISO 3200, 1/320)
It was a rough game for our boys and a rough game for me, so I will end this post with some shots of the beautiful young ladies who keep the crowd going and the team motivated.
If those images are without your flash, don't ever use your flash! Those are fantastic!! I think the flash ones might be too bright now! (...at least for my taste. ;))
