Twice a year Long Beach Middle School's hold their middle school track at Lakewood High. This past Saturday was the Boys League Meet. This meet includes all of the middle schools in Long Beach (approx 27+ school) that compete in both field and track events.
This is my 8th year covering middle school track and each time I try to capture as many of the athletes as possible. The meet usually starts around 7:30am with the field events (shotput / high jump / long jump) and then at 9am continues with the track events. I believe out of the 8 years I've been doing this, this is the most shots I've taken (approx 1100), so needless to say I have a lot of pictures to go through, but in the mean time, here are some of my favorites.
