I attended and covered this years Long Beach Middle School Girls Basketball City Championships, which were held at Millikan High this past Saturday.
The first game matched the Franklin Wildcats against the Compers Gators who both went undefeated throughout the season. Even though the Gators were playing with only six during the first three periods and most of the forth this was a very close game. I commend the Gators for not giving up and giving it all they got, but in the end the Franklin Wildcats found themselves the victor.

The second game matched up the Hughes Owls and the Jefferson Jaguars who also went undefeated throughout the season.
This game was not as closely matched as the first one with Hughes dominating the game and in the end taking the win.
