Long Beach Middle School Girls Track

When asked what my favorite sport to photograph is I used to say girls softball, but that has changed over the last couple of years. Now when asked I respond track at any level and my favorite event just has to be the high jump.

Well this past Saturday I covered the Long Beach Middle School Girls Practice Track meet, which is held at Lakewood High. This is always an all morning event, but well worth it. I love watching these kids compete. They are the up and coming all stars.

So take a look as there are tons of shots I'm sharing.

Cal State Long Beach Men's Basketball vs UC Santa Barbara

College basketball is winding down and this may have been my last game of the season, that is unless I get the opportunity to shoot some playoff action. With the men's team winning this game they clinched their league title, so right now time will only tell if I will be covering anymore games.

Needless to say it's been my pleasure attending and capturing the action of these fine athletes. This has given me a new found love for shooting basketball since all I've covered prior was high school basketball, which in most standards have some of the worst lighting and condition to shoot in.

So to start this post lets enjoy a couple of shots of the Cal State Cheer.

CIF Playoffs - Millikan Girls Soccer vs Rialto

I've have been under the weather for a little more than a week and recently missed the opportunity to cover Cal State Long Beach baseball, but one must do what they have to do to get better, and for me that was staying home under my blankie (you read that right - I said blankie) and that's where I spent just about 5 days.

Needless to say I was ready to get out and do some shooting and yesterday was the day. Not only was there some second round CIF Playoffs, but there was also a men's basketball game at Cal State Long Beach, but that is for another post.

As for this post, I headed out to Millikan High to cover their attempt to move forward during the girls soccer CIF playoffs. It was a great day to be out and shooting as you will see from these shots, so enjoy.
