Cal State Long Beach Dirtbags vs Fullerton Titans - Baseball

Decided to head out to the ball park to shoot some baseball this past Sunday.  My commitment was to cover only one game, which I did on Saturday, but it was a nice day and I didn't want to just sit in the house, so Blair field I went.

With the Dirtbags and Titans sharing one game a piece this series I thought it would make for an interesting game and I wasn't let down.  With a a couple of errors in the first couple of innings Cal State took a quick lead, which they held onto throughout the game.

Some nice action happening and although I didn't get it all, I was able to come away with some shots I can be very happy with.

Cal State Long Beach Dirtbags vs Fullerton Titans - Baseball

This past week my local college, Cal State University of Long Beach, home of the Dirtbags was matched against the Cal State Fullerton Titans at home.

The below shots are from their Saturday game, which the Titans won in the 12th inning.

I do love shooting baseball, but am very limited in where I can shoot from at Blair Field, which is the Dirtbags home field.  Even though I shoot for our local paper I stuck in the stands and often find I can't sit in the front boxes, even when their not being used, but I do make it work and am able to end up with some real nice shots, of course that is only my opinion.  Oh and I do sneak in the boxes when I'm able, especially during the last couple of innings.

Wetlands to Sunsets - recent captures

I've been able to visit the wetlands and a couple of beaches for some beautiful sunsets during the last few weeks and I'm finally finishing my editing of the shots, so I thought I'd share some captures from the Bolsa Chica Wetlands and some very colorful sunsets from Huntington and Seal Beach.

Belmont Shore Women's Rugby vs Tempe

Yesterday was a beautiful day to simply be outside, so I checked my various schedules to see who was active and found that the Belmont Shore Women's Rugby team had a game against Tempe at Hill Middle School, so I got my stuff together and headed out.

It was great to be out shooting and a great game to cover.  I've been shooting the Belmont Shore Women's Rugby team for a few years now and always enjoy watching them play.
