CSULB vs BYU Men's Volleyball

I'm late on this post, which seems to becoming routine with me.

Was asked to cover a second set of men's volleyball at California State University of Long Beach inside the Walter's Pyramid.  This past week CSULB was matched against BYU and with students back from Christmas and New Year holidays, the stands were packed and positioning was a little more limited, but I tried some different spots and was very happy with what I got.

Seal Beach Surfing

Its always fun and exciting to shoot something I don't get a chance to often and that's some surfing.  Its not that I can't, I just tend to like shooting wildlife more, that is when I'm not covering a game for the local paper.

El Nino is hit and miss thus far, but it has given us some bigger waves in So. Cal, which has made the surfing activity much better, if only I was a morning person I'd get out there more.

Please enjoy the shots.  Sorry they are a bit grainy.  It was a very overcast morning, which caused me to push that ISO up and to be honest their not the sharpest shots either, but I still liked them.

Men's Volleyball - CSULB vs USC

2016 is starting out rather interesting for me.  First I was asked to cover Cal State Long Beach Men's Basketball vs UC Davis last weekend and this past weekend I was asked to cover the Cal State Long Beach Men's Volleyball vs University Southern California, another sport I don't cover much, but I never let that stop me from taking a job.  I take great pride in having the ability to cover any sport asked and deliver high quality shots for my client, whom ever they may be.

Although this is something I don't cover much, I did enjoy it and walked away with some decent shots.
