CSULB vs BYU Men's Volleyball

I'm late on this post, which seems to becoming routine with me.

Was asked to cover a second set of men's volleyball at California State University of Long Beach inside the Walter's Pyramid.  This past week CSULB was matched against BYU and with students back from Christmas and New Year holidays, the stands were packed and positioning was a little more limited, but I tried some different spots and was very happy with what I got.

Men's Volleyball - CSULB vs USC

2016 is starting out rather interesting for me.  First I was asked to cover Cal State Long Beach Men's Basketball vs UC Davis last weekend and this past weekend I was asked to cover the Cal State Long Beach Men's Volleyball vs University Southern California, another sport I don't cover much, but I never let that stop me from taking a job.  I take great pride in having the ability to cover any sport asked and deliver high quality shots for my client, whom ever they may be.

Although this is something I don't cover much, I did enjoy it and walked away with some decent shots.

Cal State Long Beach Men's Volleyball vs UC Irvine

I am so behind and not keeping up on my blog posts.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to cover the Cal State Long Men's Volleyball vs UC Irvine game.  Its been quite some time since the last time I shoot a volleyball game and I did feel a bit sluggish in my shots.  I was very limited on where I could position myself so I just moved around from the side, to the end of the court, then I moved up into the stands for a few shots.

In the end I was happy with what I got, but know I need to shoot more variety in my sports, but until I can get a camera upgrade shooting indoors is still something I'm going to avoid if possible.  Only for the reason I don't want to give bad shots to the paper.

For this game I used my Canon Mark IIn along with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L IS lens.  Please enjoy my shots.
