Lakewood High vs Jordan Track

Second week of track found me at Jordan covering Jordan and Lakewood track.  Although I did get some running events I focused mostly on the field events.  Here are my favorites from the days meet. 

Moore League Track Finals

Covered the Moore League Track Finals and the weather was so much better than the Wednesday prior during the league prelims.  It was a great afternoon / evening to be out shooting track.

During this meet I tried to focus my attention to primarily the varsity events and athletes, since this is what the paper would want and it's their last year to shine before heading off to college.

My Sweetheart - Jordan High Thrower

This is my daughter's senior year at Jordan High School and my last opportunity to capture her in action. She is on the Varsity Track team and throwing the shot put for Jordan. I hope to due her justice in capturing her and the action as I did with her brother who threw the shot put and discuss for Lakewood High. So enjoy the pictures.

Lakewood vs Jordan Track

Track is starting to wind down with only one more meet left. This week finds Lakewood pitted against Jordan at home. Today I focused on the pole vaulters so I could get at least one nice shot of each of them in action and since Jordan did not have any vaulters I was able to take other shots between vaults.

I'll start with a varity of pole vaulting shots.
