Welcome to my blog. Looking through my posts you will find that I love and have a passion for photography and although my expertise so to speak is in Sports Action, I have been getting into wildlife and senior portraits. No matter what I'm shooting I want to bring my client the best possible shot I can and give them / you a photograph that you will cherish for a lifetime. If your looking for someone to capture your child in action, to show the intensity and emotion in which your child plays, look no further. Just drop me a line (e-mail) at homerkenpo@aol.com. Seal Beach Surfing

During last week Southern California has experienced a nice storm resulting in rain and and tornado warnings throughout the week. Well last Saturday, after a week of rain, I headed out to Seal Beach to check out the high surf and see what kind of action there was. I wasn't disappointed. I spent a few hours taking some shots and enjoying a great sunny day at the beach.

These first three pictures were taken from the pier, which shook with each incoming wave.

The remaining shots were taken from the beach just east of the pier. This first shot, even thought it's not technically the best shot, I like a lot. Looks as if this bogey boarder is emerging from a cave, which is closing in around him.

Dylan's Senior Portraits

Here is yet another nephew of mine. My sister and I have been trying to plan and get together for his senior portraits for quite some time now and have finally succeeded. I have to say that I am very pleased with the results of this session and have to schedule another session so we could shoot some football shots, which I want to shoot at his football stadium, but that is something for the next shoot.

Winter Formals

On Saturday my son and his girlfriend attended their Winter Formal, but before I talk about the pictures you will soon see I much thank these two. Their formals started at 8pm and I had them all dressed up at 3pm so I could take some pictures of them during the day. It really meant a great deal to me to take these pictures and I can't thank you both enough for putting up with me.

My son and this young lady have been together for a little more than a year. They truly make an awesome couple and get along so well, almost too well, which you'll see in the pictures further down.

I'll start with some pretty simple and traditional shots, which won't last for long.

Now the fun begins, these two had a great time taking these shots and spent a lot of time just being themselves, which for me is perfect.

Later in the evening they all got together for some group shots just prior to taking off for the night.

Here you'll find all of the stud muffins

And here you'll see all of the beautiful young ladies

And finally the standard group shot.
