Well football season is starting to wind down and although I truely love shooting football, I am ready for the season to be over. I miss getting out to shoot other things simply for my enjoyment, such as my wildlife. I don't get home until very late after a game under the lights and then have to do some quick edits so I can send various shots to a local paper and to the football teams website and when Saturday morning comes along I'm not much in the mood to get up early for some wildlife shots.
This last week Lakewood had a bye which gave me the opportunity to get out early Saturday morning. The sky was overcast with very dark rain clouds, but I headed out anyways to see what I could find, if anything simply to get out and enjoy the fresh chill morning air.
After hanging out for a couple of hours I only managed to get some pelicans that were feeding nearby and some snowy egrets. So I hope you enjoy the shots as much as I enjoyed being out there shooting.

Solid ;)
How long does it typically take you to sift through your photos and edit? Do you typically do it immediately following the game?
Thanks!!!!
Wow, everyone of these is fantastic. Can't pick a favortie but leaning towards the diving spin shot. Although I love the details in the feathers of the first one. And there's the one... oh heck, they're all great!

Thanks Cynthia and Sue (my very own stalker) :)
Cynthia, my editing time really depends on the amount of shots and weather its a day or night game. On the most part I will spend about 1 hour on my day games if I focus and get my editing done, with my night games taking about 1-2 hours. I do tend to take longer as I will do other things while editing and bounce back and forth from editing and other things.
