Mustangs - White Sox #3

Another round of baseball for the White Sox. Another parent from last year contacted me and asked if I would come out to get some action shots of her son, so last night (Wednesday) I went to Wilmington and shot her son in action. He started the game catching and then pitched the last two innings. It helps a great deal when the athlete I'm shooting plays multiple active positions for me to capture a lot of shots.

It was late in the evening with the sun beginning it's decent. I shot this game in aperture priority at f/2.8 and switched from 100-400 ISO depending on the position. When he caught he was in the shade and in order to get a fast shutter speed I had to adjust my ISO to 400, otherwise it was at 100.

Jim,

I have to say - that first shot got me. I love the intensity in his face and you captured the moment perfectly. Now I am off to check out the football photos and I am sure I will not be disappointed.

Great work!

Cheers,
Al

Yeah, you had me at the first one, too. Your compositions here are perfect, and I love the facial expressions and the dirt flying. Looks like you almost got a BOB as well!
